with a ship now under her command, all jordi had to do was find a crew. she had decided she would start interviewing tomorrow at the tavern, but at the moment she had nothing at all to do. the redhead sat at the edge of the neck near her ship and swayed her feet back and forth. "keelhail that filthy landlubber, send him down to the depths bellow. make that bastard walk the plank with a bottle of rum and a yo-ho-ho," she sang softly to herself. it was late at night by now, but the girl had too much energy in her do sleep just yet.
maybe she should go steal some scorpion gold? eh, that would require effort and effort was not something jordi wanted to put in to anything right now. maybe she could go bother some mermaids? that sounded like fun.

After several days out at sea, Ivan’s captain and crewmates decided to take a break of adventuring and decided to party at the nearest bar in Pirate Cove. The young doctor was usually considered a “stick-in-the-mud” when it came to partying, but seeing as his crewmates’ definition of partying involved drinking until they passed out on the floor and flirting with random bar wenches, he had absolutely no interest in getting involved with such unsophisticated acts. Fortunately, his good captain was lenient about letting one of his crew members wander off on his own while they partied like there was no tomorrow. He decided that the best place to relax was near the shore at the harbor, he knew there were several pirate ships moored at the harbor and a few good-for-nothing pirates hanging around causing trouble and picking fights with pirates of other crews. He personally did not mind the background noise of two smelly pirates beating the snot out of each other, but he knew the crew he belonged to was notorious for giving pirates a bad name. He had his revolver with him just in case anyone started trouble, but he decided to avoid any potential conflict by walking to a quieter location.
Just listening to the waves crashing into the shore and staring at the majestic moon and stars illuminating the sky was enough to relax the young surgeon and give him peace of mind. Pulling out a pipe from his coat, he lit it with a match, and inhaled some of the smoke before exhaling through his parted lips. His emotionless eyes stared blankly at the sky and tapped his foot against the ground as he puffed some more smoke with his pipe. Suddenly he heard singing coming from a ship he was standing next to, he glanced to his side and gently bit on his pipe wondering if the source of the obnoxious noise had not noticed his presence and was inadvertently kicking him out of the serene spot by the harbor. He removed the pipe from his lips and emptied it out before turning around and taking his leave. As he walked away from the ship, the pirate shot a quick glance at the young woman who had been singing quietly to herself and began to grumble under his breath.

jordi had continued singing the song until she felt a gaze upon her. narrowing her eyes at the annoyance, she shot a glance back at the guy. her eyes glared at him, as if trying to burn through his skull. "can i help you?" she asked with a growl in her voice. how dare he interrupt her singing? she should shoot him in the foot for such insolence!
he looked vaguely familiar though and then she snapped her fingers as she remembered. "ah, yer part of robin hood's crew aren'cha?" she asked him rhetorically, already knowing that he was. "i'm pretty sure they were at the tavern earlier if yer looking for them," she stated in hopes to get him away from her. he had a weird look about him. like there was something shoved deep up his arse.

Oh lovely, the young woman had spotted him just as he was about to get the hell out of there. Ivan clicked his tongue and put his pipe in his coat’s pocket. “Help me? My apologies, miss, I did not mean to intrude, I was merely distracted by the fascinating view and your beautiful voice,” He answered the redhead in a kind tone, his emotionless eyes remained, but a charming smile appeared across his lips. However, judging by this woman’s tone, his gentleman act would not suffice as she seemed rather annoyed by his mere presence. Ivan closed his eyes and waved his hand, “Do not fret, I shall take my leave now.” And just as he was about to turn around and walk off, she had immediately recognized the pirate crew he was associated with. Opening one eye, he clasped his hands together and turned to look at the young woman.
“Oh, yes, I am fully aware of where they are,” His answer was monotone, he was already used to his captain being called ‘Robin Hood’ and it honestly did not bother him. He did not consider himself a real pirate and at times questioned his own captain’s views, but that did not stop him from helping his crewmates. “You are on your own, hm?” He questioned the redhead with a small frown, as he placed one hand to his face and brushed some hair to the side. He glanced to his side and wondered if she was just recently starting to recruit crew members. Then again, why did it matter to him? She would probably just curse at him or threaten to kill him for meddling with her business. Hell, she was not even little sister material, her breasts were humongous and intimidating, and she looked like the typical man eating pirate… He did not want to get involved with this type of woman at all! “Be careful in picking your allies, some may backstab you.” Why the hell was he giving her advice? He put his hand over his eyes and shook his head. Either way, it was most likely that she did the backstabbing rather than the other way around.

oh leviathan, as if he couldn't get any worse. the polite and proper tone made her eye twitch in annoyance, but it was too dark for him to spot it. with a voice and attitude like that, he must be a doctor. he had to be. she would bet on it. and then that pathetic compliment tossed in the middle of it, tch. was he trying to suck up to her? definitely the awkward doctor. but still, any company is a worthy company to her right now since she was about to go watch paint dry.
"why are you not with them then? tavern's not your style?" she said with a smirk. he didn't look the type. he didn't even look like he was a pirate, but he was indeed. then again.. the doctors on ships could hardly be considered pirates. especially on that pansy's pirate ship. jordi had nothing against ol' robin hood. she just found his tactics and habits very, very amusing.
jordi gave the guy a nod. "well spotted, doc," she replied. really, nice observation man. kudos to you. his bit of advice caught her by surprise and then made her laugh. and she laughed loudly. "oh doc, you should have told that to the pirate i took this ship from. it was a lovely mutiny. he rests with the crocs now," she said with a grin. yes, she was proud of this. who wouldn't be? it was her life's greatest achievement so far.

“Well, they are in there and I’m out here. What do you think?” He could not keep up with this polite pretense any longer, thus the sarcastic tone escaped his lips. It was pointless to act polite to a woman who barely spoke coherent words. The doctor could not fathom her tone for long anyway. Ivan nibbled on his thumb and smirked, feeling a little relieved that he did not have to put on the guise of a gentleman to get this woman to like him, not that he was seeking her approval or anything. He averted his eyes from the pirate girl to examine the ship; it looked in good shape, but for a young girl like her to be in possession of such a ship... it sounded rather absurd. He closed his eyes and nodded his head slightly. It was safe to assume that this girl somehow managed to steal this ship form its original owner, as for her methods… Well, women usually have an advantage when it comes to getting what they wanted.
Her response to his previous inquiry caused the doctor to lift a brow. As suspected, this ship was stolen after all and she was indeed the backstabber he had warned her about earlier. He casually put his arms out and shrugged his shoulders as he let out a chuckle, “Impressive, I’m actually not at all surprised, anything can happen in this godforsaken world.” Ivan opened his eyes and noticed that sadistic grin plastered across the redhead’s lips, she was indeed a pirate and very proud of her achievement. “Congratulations,” He said in a lighthearted tone, as he walked closer to the dock and pulled his pipe out once again. “On second thought, I think I’ll stay here. I happen to like this spot, hope you don’t mind,” Ivan knew this girl was trouble, but he did not have to worry about any of her crew members outnumbering him. Besides, he happened to enjoy this quiet and peaceful spot. There was no point acting like a gentleman in front of a woman who was a blood-thirsty pirate.
